Who We Are
Professional COSMETOLOGIST/LOCTICIAN
Hi errbody and welcome! My name is Sonya; loctitian, entrepreneur, cosmetologist, and licensed instructor. My journey to becoming a loctitian began in 1999 when I had my first set of locs started. Years later after becoming burned out and hospitalized from my previous career, in 2012 I went back to school and earned my cosmetology license. I attempted to work for other salons to receive more experience, but God had other plans. Strictly Locs became official in 2013 when I stepped out on faith and rented my first salon suite with nothing but my school kit and prayer.
As of today, I have moved to my second salon suite, increased my clientele list; with the best clients ever, and have selected and use high quality products to maintain healthy locs and natural hair. Now, I attend numerous continuing educational classes each year so as to always be knowledgeable of the best and healthiest techniques to use. In my spare time I love being a wife, listening to music, and binge watching my favorite TV series and movies.
